What is this blog about?
This is a personal block about my understanding of how applied mathematics and algorithms can be employed as a powerful tool to solve scientific and engineering problems. As a petroleum engineer, I have a trend to provide examples for the oil industry but keeping in mind that most of the current engineering problems can be described in terms of linear and non-linear PDEs. Thus, this material can be useful in other engineering subjects. I am very happy to share my experience here, and of course, comments and critics are very welcome to enhance this blog.
